A Spacetoon Case Study
The BLIPPI Experience was a large-scale interactive attraction that brought the popular children's character Blippi from screen to real life. It was hosted in Boulevard Riyadh City, one of the main zones of Riyadh Season, under the thematic banner "Imagination to Reality." The experience ran from October 29, 2023 to March 9, 2024, operating daily in the evenings.
The concept centered on an educational adventure: "little adventurers with Blippi live a unique adventure through which they encounter different worlds" – traveling from the age of dinosaurs, to the ocean's depths, and then into space, all within one experience. This narrative journey was designed to be edutainment (educational entertainment), aligning with Blippi's ethos of learning through play.
The venue was an indoor-outdoor setup at Boulevard Riyadh City, a premier entertainment district in Riyadh known for festivals and family attractions. Spacetoon Entertainment collaborated closely with the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) and Moonbug Entertainment, the owner of the Blippi IP, to execute this project.

Capturing the magic and excitement of the BLIPPI Experience
The BLIPPI Experience operated daily in the evenings from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM, six days a week, ensuring accessibility for schoolchildren in the afternoons and evenings. The format featured timed entry "tours" through the experience, helping manage crowd flow with multiple sessions each evening.
The journey took families through three distinct themed zones: Dinosaur World, Ocean Depths, and Space Journey. Each zone featured interactive exhibits, educational content, and hands-on activities designed to combine learning with play. Children could collect treats as they journeyed through the zones, and the experience concluded with a merchandise store and a small gift for each child.
The experience was designed for children ages 3-8, though all ages were welcome. Parents could accompany their children throughout the journey, making it a wholesome family outing. The content was presented in a mix of English and Arabic, with bilingual staff and guides to accommodate all guests, reflecting Spacetoon's strength in localization.
Successfully operated for over 4 months as part of Riyadh Season, demonstrating sustained popularity and operational excellence.
Recognized by Moonbug's International Licensing Director for the "amazing response from fans" in Saudi Arabia, strengthening ongoing B2B relationship.
Successfully localized content with bilingual (English/Arabic) staff and materials, showcasing Spacetoon's localization expertise.
